The restaurant pointed to Sphamandla Mabonga as the individual responsible for the shooting, reportedly the boyfriend of former Real Housewives of Durban star Londie London. Tempo clarified that among the injured were their staff members and the individual involved in instigating the shooting.

In a statement shared on their Instagram page, Tempo recounted the sequence of events, stating that the altercation began when the individual attempted to enter the establishment carrying firearms. The security team, adhering to the strict no-firearms policy, denied entry, leading to a verbal dispute that escalated into gunfire.

While Tempo asserted that the entire incident transpired outside their premises, social media videos show bloodstains inside the establishment, contradicting this claim. Despite this, the restaurant reiterated that the shooting unfolded externally.
